PRIVATE VOICE COACHING

"I always knew I would become a teaching artist. My journey to Broadway wasn't an easy one and I am thrilled to be able to share my experiences and knowledge with my students. As a teacher you aren't only teaching a skill, you are touching lives and making connections with your students that will last a lifetime as well as providing your students with inspiration that will take them places in their lives. "

-Denise Summerford

Award-Winning Broadway Actor

Founder & Director of Broadway Arts Collective

My training began in a college voice program and continued under some of New York City's most respected voice teachers—a foundation that carried me into a career on Broadway and across the professional singing world. That career is why my studio exists. I've seen what happens when technique is built on shortcuts, and what's possible when it isn't. Vocal health and a healthy technique aren't footnotes in my practice—they are the standard everything else is measured against.

My specialty is training emerging voices using an approach that's developmentally correct: training calibrated to where a voice actually is, not rushed toward where it "should" be. This matters enormously for young singers, whose instruments are still changing and especially vulnerable to habits that cause lasting harm. My work is to build technique that protects the voice through those changes, so it can grow safely into whatever it's meant to become.

No two voices are alike, and I don't teach as though they are. Every student is met where they are, in a process of discovering what's unique about their own instrument.

I've had the privilege of working with singers at every stage, from those who simply love to sing, to Broadway performers, to rising recording artists. Different goals and levels, but all the same uncompromising standard of care. Every voice has its own story. Let me help you discover yours.
